Deleting your data from Sojourn
Sojourn is made by Sojourn Technologies L.L.C-FZ. This page explains how to delete your Sojourn account and everything stored with it, and how to remove individual records without deleting your whole account. Everything below is done inside the Sojourn app on your own device — there is no separate website login, because Sojourn keeps your data on your phone rather than on our servers.
Delete your account and all data
In the Sojourn app:
- Open Settings (bottom-right tab).
- Tap the Account section → “Delete my account and data”.
- Read what will be removed, then type DELETE to confirm. This can’t be undone.
This is reachable in three taps from the home screen. It also appears inside the in-app Privacy Policy, under “Exercise your right to deletion”.
What gets permanently deleted:
- Your identity — name, date of birth, username, email, mobile number.
- Every stay you logged (entries and exits), and your tracked-country settings.
- All evidence and supporting documents (boarding passes, ID, bills), your signature, and any reports saved in the on-device library.
- Verification codes and any pending events, plus the secure-storage entries protecting them.
After you confirm, the app returns to the registration screen. Nothing is recoverable, and no reminder is kept.
Delete individual data without deleting your account
You don’t have to delete your whole account to remove specific records. Inside the app you can delete, at any time:
- Any individual stay — open it from the Log tab and choose Delete.
- Any supporting document or per-stay evidence attachment — remove it from the Log page.
- Any saved report — delete it from Settings → Your reports.
Because this data lives on your device, deleting it in the app removes it immediately — there is no copy on our servers to request back.
What we can’t delete for you
A few things sit with third parties and must be handled through them, as our Privacy Policy explains:
- Subscription receipts — Apple and Google keep purchase records for their own tax and legal reasons. Manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account.
- Email sending logs — our email provider may retain transactional send logs for a short period (typically ~30 days) per their privacy policy.
- Anonymised analytics — our subscription provider (RevenueCat) retains anonymised, non-identifying records per their policy.
